We are seeking an experienced

Solution Architect

to work closely with Enterprise Architecture, delivery teams, and business stakeholders to design technology solutions that align with our enterprise architecture principles and strategic objectives. The role will be responsible for translating business needs into robust, scalable, and secure solution designs, working collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the organisation to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and deliver measurable value.

Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design Design end-to-end solution architectures that align with enterprise architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps. Produce high-quality architecture artefacts including solution designs, diagrams, and technical documentation. Ensure solutions address non-functional requirements such as security, performance, resilience, scalability, and maintainability. Evaluate design options and recommend solutions based on cost, risk, and long-term sustainability. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work in partnership with Enterprise Architects to ensure alignment with target-state architecture and technology strategy. Collaborate with SMEs across technology, security, data, infrastructure, and business domains to shape effective solutions. Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and clearly articulate architectural decisions and trade-offs. Support delivery teams through the lifecycle, providing architectural guidance and assurance. Governance & Assurance Contribute to architecture governance processes, including design reviews and approvals. Ensure solutions comply with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Identify and manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt. Continuous Improvement Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements where appropriate. Promote reuse of patterns, platforms, and services to improve efficiency and consistency. Contribute to the evolution of architecture standards, principles, and reference architectures.

Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience (minimum 10yrs) as a Solution Architect delivering complex technology solutions. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture concepts and alignment with architecture principles. Experience working across multiple technology domains (applications, integration, data, infrastructure, cloud). Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience collaborating with SMEs and cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Desirable Experience working within formal architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF). Cloud architecture experience (e.g. AWS, Azure, OCI). Experience in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments. Exposure to agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
