Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer

with strong expertise in

PHP (Symfony framework)

to join a fast-paced US-based project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability of applications.

This role requires strong technical ownership, hands-on development capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and US-based stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using PHP and Symfony Build scalable and high-performance APIs and backend services Develop and optimize complex database structures and queries using MySQL Work with AWS services, including SQS, for queue management and distributed systems Containerize applications and manage deployments using Docker Collaborate with frontend and product teams to define and implement scalable solutions Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews Optimize application performance, security, and scalability Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently. Follow best practices in code quality, documentation, and testing Work in an Agile environment with regular sprint planning and releases

Required Skills & Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development Strong expertise in PHP with Symfony framework (Mandatory) Solid experience with MySQL including performance optimization Hands-on experience with AWS services, especially SQS Practical experience with Docker for containerization Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture principles Experience working with distributed systems and scalable applications Strong problem-solving skills and technical ownership mindset Excellent verbal and written communication skills (must work directly with US stakeholders)

Good to Have Experience with CraftCMS or Expression Engine. Working knowledge of TypeScript and NodeJS Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments Experience working in US client-facing environments Understanding of microservices architecture
