About the Role
Designation: Chief of Staff
Reports into: Directors of the Company

Role Objective
The Chief of Staff to the Director acts as a strategic partner, force multiplier, and execution anchor for the Director. The role is designed to support the Director(s) by driving cross-functional priorities, ensuring disciplined follow-through on strategic initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making, and serving as a trusted liaison between the Director and senior leadership teams.
Please note that this is not an administrative or secretarial role. The incumbent is expected to operate with enterprise perspective, high discretion, and independent judgment, while handling sensitive strategic, financial, and organizational matters.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Enablement & Decision Support
Partner closely with the Director on strategic priorities, annual operating plans, and long-term initiatives.
Translate high-level strategic intent into actionable workstreams with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.
Prepare high-quality briefing notes, issue papers, dashboards, and decision memos for leadership and board discussions.
Track key strategic initiatives and flag risks, dependencies, and deviations proactively.
Cross-Functional Execution & Governance
Drive execution of enterprise-wide initiatives that cut across business units and functions.
Facilitate alignment between leadership teams and ensure accountability without direct authority.
Set up governance rhythms—review meetings, scorecards, escalation mechanisms—and ensure disciplined follow-through.
Leadership Interface & Stakeholder Management
Act as a trusted interface between the Director and CXOs, business heads, and external stakeholders, as required.
Represent the Director in selected internal meetings and forums with clear mandate and outcomes.
Ensure consistency and clarity in leadership communication across the organization.
Business Intelligence & Performance Tracking
Design and maintain executive dashboards as required.
Synthesize complex data into concise insights and implications for senior leadership.
Support performance reviews, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and board-level reporting.
Special Projects & Institutional Priorities
Lead or support high-impact, time-bound strategic projects directly sponsored by the Director (e.g., transformation initiatives, restructuring, governance enhancement, leadership programs).
Conduct internal research, benchmarking, and scenario analysis to support strategic choices.
Eligibility & Candidate Profile
Education - Full Time MBA (2-year program) from a recognized institution with specialization in areas like Business Management, General Management, Operations and Strategy.
Experience - Minimum 2+ years’ experience of working closely with senior leadership / CXOs / promoters is highly desirable.
