Jr. Data Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our team. The candidate will support the development and maintenance of data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric, contributing to reliable and scalable data solutions. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, collaborate, and grow in a modern cloud data environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Ingestion

• Develop and implement data pipelines within Microsoft Fabric.

• Support integration between enterprise applications using Fabric connectors, APIs, and other ingestion tools.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving ingestion or source-related pipeline issues.

2. Data Transformation

• Transform and process data using SQL, PySpark, or Dataflows Gen2 within Fabric.

• Implement data validation rules, quality checks, and business logic transformations.

• Contribute to maintaining consistent schemas, mapping documents, and transformation logic.

3. Data Orchestration

• Design and manage end-to-end workflow orchestration using Microsoft Fabric Pipelines.

• Schedule, monitor, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for performance and reliability.

• Maintain clear documentation on data flows, orchestration logic, and pipeline configurations.

• Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BI, Automation, and Operations, to ensure smooth data delivery.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, aggregations).

• Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing fundamentals.

• Familiarity with PySpark for data processing.

• Understanding of Microsoft Fabric components (Pipelines, Dataflows, Lakehouse/Warehouse) is a plus.
