Prayoga is seeking a seasoned
Project Manager
to lead the
Arecanut Research Platform
. This role is pivotal in managing a complex portfolio of research projects that bridge laboratory analysis, field-based data collection, and multi-agency collaborations. The ideal candidate will integrate technical agricultural expertise with robust project management discipline to drive impactful research outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Multi-Project Oversight:
End-to-end management of diverse research initiatives involving laboratory scientists, field researchers, and external collaborating agencies.
Strategic Coordination:
Synchronizing workflows between internal research teams (e.g., Green Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and Food & Agriculture) and external academic or industry partners.
Methodological Rigor:
Ensuring all projects adhere to established scientific research methods and Prayogaโs high standards for data integrity and ethics.
Stakeholder Management:
Serving as the primary point of contact for government bodies, schools, and community stakeholders involved in field research.
Operational Discipline:
Maintaining clear documentation, record-keeping, and adherence to internal workflows as per the Prayoga KRA framework.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience:
Minimum
10+ years
of proven experience in project management, specifically within the
Agriculture
sector.
Education:
A formal qualification in
Agriculture
(B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D.) is highly preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong familiarity with research methodologies and the ability to translate complex data into actionable project milestones.
Project Management Skills:
Expert-level proficiency in scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and managing multi-agency deliverables.
Behavioral Competencies
Hands-on Operational Leadership:
A proactive approach to problem-solving. Must be willing to transition seamlessly from high-level strategic meetings to ground-level field execution.
Field Mobility:
High willingness to travel extensively to rural research sites, plantations, and collaborating institutions. This role requires being "on the ground" to monitor field trials and ensure data accuracy.
Efficiency & Responsiveness:
Ability to streamline operations between the lab and the field, reducing the turnaround time for data collection and analysis.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Building trust with local farmers, field staff, and external agencies through direct, face-to-face interaction.
Systemic Resilience:
Building scalable SOPs for field research that remain robust despite geographical or environmental challenges.
