Data Analyst

The Data Analyst supports the global digitalization strategy by enabling new product development, improving laboratory efficiency, and supporting cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Marketing, OEM). The role contributes to the setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a global materials data management system, ensuring high data quality and usability.

Major Job Responsibilities Develop and implement digitalization tools to improve laboratory and business efficiency Build workflows, automation solutions, and automated reports using Python and related technologies Analyze and manipulate data using Excel and internal systems; maintain and enhance product/materials databases Ensure data quality through data cleaning, processing, and continuous improvement Collaborate with project teams to expand data coverage and usability Support AI implementation and advanced data analytics initiatives Act as focal point for database suppliers, user training, and technical support Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards, and company policies

Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a Science-related field Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data management Hands-on experience with Python; knowledge of VBA and SQL preferred Solid understanding of data analytics and data visualization Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts Experience in database development and maintenance Minimum 3 years of experience in an R&D environment Basic knowledge of materials, polymer properties, and polymer analytics is an advantage Good written and verbal communication skills Customer-oriented, well-structured, proactive, and detail-focused with strong ownership and curiosity
