Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on

Liferay Tech Lead

with deep expertise in

Liferay 7.4 , particularly in

on-premises migrations and custom development . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing optimal solutions, leading development efforts, and providing technical guidance to the team. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to define and communicate solution approaches effectively.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions on

Liferay 7.4 . Drive and manage

on-premise migration projects

from earlier Liferay versions or other platforms. Architect and implement custom modules, hooks, themes, and integrations. Perform

code reviews , enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide

technical leadership

in resolving complex issues and debugging production problems. Define and document

solution approaches , architecture diagrams, and technical specifications. Ensure performance optimization, security compliance, and adherence to SLAs. Stay updated with Liferay product updates and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience with

Liferay 7.4 , including

on-premise setup, migration, and customization . Strong understanding of

Liferay architecture , OSGi framework, and modular development. Hands-on experience with

Java, JSP, Spring, REST APIs , and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS). Expertise in

designing optimal solutions

tailored to Liferay’s capabilities and limitations. Excellent

debugging and troubleshooting skills

across the full stack. Experience with

CI/CD pipelines , version control (Git), and build tools (Maven/Gradle). Familiarity with

database design , performance tuning, and caching strategies. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Liferay certification(s) is a plus. Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence.
