Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant- Java, Cypress and Database. The Principal Consultant will lead quality engineering initiatives by designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks, driving test strategy, and ensuring high‑quality delivery across complex enterprise applications. This role requires deep expertise in Java‑based automation, Cypress, and database validation, along with strong stakeholder and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

- Define and own the test strategy, automation roadmap, and quality governance for multiple projects

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java and Cypress

- Lead end‑to‑end test automation including UI, API, integration, and regression testing

- Perform database testing and validation using SQL (data integrity, reconciliation, backend verification)

- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)

- Review code, enforce best practices, and mentor junior and mid‑level consultants

- Collaborate with product, development, DevOps, and business stakeholders

- Identify quality risks early and drive defect prevention rather than detection

- Support release readiness, production validation, and post‑release analysis

- Contribute to process improvement, reusability, and automation acceleration initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

- Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit.

- Strong hands‑on experience with Java (OOP concepts, test framework development)

- Solid expertise in Cypress for modern web application testing

- Strong knowledge of Databases (Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL / SQL Server)

- Writing complex SQL queries

- Data validation and backend testing

- Experience with API testing (REST, JSON, tools like Rest Assured/Postman)

- Experience with version control systems (Git)

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- Bachelor’s/master's in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a collaborative team environment.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

- Leadership experience, including leading teams, managing projects, and driving technical initiatives to successful completion.

- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ISTQB, certifications) are a plus.
