Role Summary

We are seeking a Junior Technical Presales Engineer to support our sales and business development teams across UAE and India. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical foundation who are interested in customer-facing presales, solution design, and IT consulting. The role involves working closely with sales, technical delivery, and vendor teams to design and propose IT security, infrastructure, and managed service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in introductory sales calls with new customers to understand their business and technical requirements. - Support the sales team during initial customer engagement, discovery calls, and requirement-gathering sessions. - Assist in follow-up of inbound and outbound leads via calls, emails, and virtual meetings. - Perform first-level technical qualification of leads to identify genuine opportunities. - Provide technical inputs during solution positioning and proposal discussions. - Support AMC renewals, managed services follow-ups, and basic upsell/cross-sell opportunities under guidance. - Maintain basic tracking of lead status, follow-ups, and presales activities in coordination with sales teams. -

Support sales teams during customer meetings, discovery calls, and requirement-gathering sessions. - Understand customer IT challenges and assist in proposing suitable technical solutions. - Assist in presales activities for IT security, infrastructure, cloud, and managed services. - Support pricing inputs, BOM preparation, and vendor coordination. -

Assist in demos, PoCs, and solution walkthroughs under senior engineer guidance. - Support presales efforts for 800itcare.com IT support and AMC offerings. - Coordinate with internal operations and delivery teams for solution handover. - Stay updated on basic cybersecurity trends, IT infrastructure, and managed services.

Technical Skills ( Required )

Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, firewalls, VPN). -

Fundamental knowledge of IT security concepts (endpoint security, firewalls, backups, access control). - Basic awareness of servers, virtualization and cloud platforms (Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure/AWS basics). - Understanding of IT support and managed service models (SLA, remote & onsite support). - Ability to document solutions clearly and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Soft Skills

- Good verbal and written communication skills. - Customer-focused mindset with willingness to engage in client-facing discussions. - Strong learning attitude and ability to work under guidance. - Basic presentation and documentation skills. - Ability to work collaboratively across sales, technical and operations teams.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field. -

0 - 2 years of experience in IT support, networking, system administration, or similar roles. -

Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and interest in presales are encouraged to apply.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Exposure to cybersecurity or infrastructure products (Fortinet, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.). - Basic certifications (CCNA, Microsoft, CEH, Fortinet NSE) are an advantage. - Experience or awareness of MSP / IT support services like 800itcare.com. - Prior customer interaction or internship experience in IT services.
