Role Overview

The Instructional Designer (ID) will design and develop outcome-driven digital learning solutions for healthcare professionals and students. The role requires strong grounding in instructional design theory, proficiency in digital authoring tools, and the ability to integrate AI-enabled workflows to enhance quality, speed, and scalability. The position demands collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), clinicians, and academic stakeholders to transform complex medical content into structured, learner-centric programs aligned with measurable learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 1) Instructional Design & Learning Architecture Design learner-centric instructional strategies for online, blended, and instructor-led programs. Translate SME inputs into structured learning journeys, including learning objectives, storyboards, scripts, assessments, and interactive activities. Apply adult learning theory, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and established instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Agile learning frameworks). Ensure alignment between learning objectives, instructional content, assessments, and measurable outcomes. Develop case-based, scenario-based, and competency-driven learning experiences suited for healthcare education. 2) Digital Learning Development Develop e-learning modules using tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Captivate, or equivalent platforms. Collaborate with multimedia teams to produce videos, animations, simulations, and interactive assets. Ensure content adheres to usability, accessibility, and quality standards. Package and deploy content compatible with LMS standards (SCORM/xAPI). 3) AI & Innovation Enablement Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, AI-based content generators, automated assessment tools, voice/video AI, LMS analytics) to: Accelerate content creation cycles Enhance instructional quality and personalization Improve learner engagement and feedback mechanisms Continuously evaluate emerging learning technologies and implement productivity-enhancing solutions. 4) Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Management Partner with SMEs, faculty, clinicians, and internal teams to gather requirements and validate technical accuracy. Simplify complex medical and technical concepts into structured, engaging learning formats. Manage multiple concurrent projects with defined timelines and quality benchmarks. 5) Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement Analyze learner feedback, assessment data, and LMS analytics to refine instructional design. Maintain compliance with internal academic and instructional quality standards. Contribute to process optimization and best practices in digital learning design. Required Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design (LxD), or E-learning Development. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or a related field. Demonstrated experience designing structured digital learning programs. Core Competencies Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Analytical thinking with strong attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders. High quality orientation and process discipline. Technical Skills Hands-on expertise in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, Captivate, etc.). Familiarity with LMS platforms and digital learning ecosystems. Working knowledge and practical application of AI tools in instructional design workflows.
