Job Description: Data Engineering - Power BI Developer / Specialist

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced

Power BI Developer

with strong expertise in building and optimizing Power BI semantic models, creating high-performing reports and dashboards, and providing DAX and data validation support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI Service, AI-driven tools such as Copilot, and Microsoft Fabric features. Strong communication skills and functional understanding of business requirements are essential.

Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain

Power BI semantic models

for efficient reporting and analytics. • Optimize report performance, ensuring scalability, speed, and usability. • Develop, test, and maintain advanced

DAX measures

and calculated columns. • Troubleshoot and resolve

DAX-related issues

raised by business users. • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional BI solutions. • Validate data accuracy by writing and executing

SQL queries

to compare backend data with Power BI reports. • Manage and deploy reports/dashboards in

Power BI Service , including workspaces, security, and RLS. • Leverage

AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot)

and

Fabric features

to enhance BI solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and drive informed decision-making. • Provide user support, training, and documentation for delivered reports and dashboards.

Required Skills •

Excellent knowledge of Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service. • Strong experience in

semantic modeling, DAX, and performance optimization. • Good understanding of

functional/business requirements

and ability to translate them into BI solutions. • Proficiency in

SQL

for data validation and backend analysis. • Familiarity with

AI-driven tools (Copilot)

and

Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex BI challenges. • Excellent

communication and collaboration skills. • Prior experience in resolving user issues related to DAX or report functionality. • Experience with

large datasets

and performance tuning strategies. • Exposure to

data modeling best practices

and

data governance. • Knowledge of

ETL processes

and integration with Power BI.
