Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Azure Cloud Engineer. The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable and secure cloud-based architectures. Key tasks include maintaining cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, managing deployments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver optimized solutions. The role demands continuous learning to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices for cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities -
Day-to-day operational support for a production Azure environment.
Monitoring, incident resolution, configuration changes, security enforcement, backups and DR support.
Tech will work closely with senior architects and security teams.
Azure Operations & Support - monitor Azure infrastructure health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
Handle daily incidents, alerts, and service requests related to Azure resources.
Perform routine configuration changes, scaling, patching, and upgrades.
Troubleshoot issues related to networking, compute, storage, and identity.

Security & Identity Support - Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) users, groups, roles, and RBAC.
Maintain Azure Key Vault (secrets, certificates, access policies).
Assist with firewall rules, NSGs, and Azure DDoS Protection configurations.
Backup & Disaster Recovery - Monitor and manage Azure Backup jobs and resolve failures.
Support Azure Site Recovery, including failover testing and recovery validation.
Ensure backup and DR SLAs are met and documented.
Networking & Connectivity - Support Azure networking components:
VNets, subnets, NSGs
Azure Firewall
Azure ExpressRoute (support and coordination, not design)
Assist in resolving latency, routing, and connectivity issues.
Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization - Review alerts, logs, and dashboards to proactively identify issues.
Assist in cost monitoring and optimization (unused resources, right-sizing).
Provide operational metrics and reports as required.
Documentation & Process - Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
Follow defined change management and incident management processes.
Participate in on-call or after-hours support rotations if required.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Cloud Computing, specifically Azure, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining cloud-based infrastructures
Strong skills in Infrastructure management, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Linux systems and the ability to manage and maintain Linux environments
Experience with Databases, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting
Competence in Software Development processes for cloud-related deployments and applications
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with excellent problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent are a plus
