Job Description

Position: Analyst - eDiscovery Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities: Develop foundational knowledge of structured and unstructured data formats including Microsoft Office files, PST, NSF, system files, email containers, and compressed archives to support data processing workflows. Gain understanding of the complete eDiscovery lifecycle including identification, legal hold, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, and production. Assis in data ingestion, metadata extraction, indexing, de-duplication, and quality control validation within eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity. Apply logical search methodologies using Boolean operators, keyword strategies, metadata filters, and query optimization techniques to support document review workflows. Build working knowledge of file system architecture, metadata properties (e.g., created date, modified date, hash values), and basic hashing concepts (MD5/SHA) to ensure data integrity. Demonstrate familiarity with database fundamentals including indexing mechanisms, structured query logic (basic SQL concepts), and data normalization principles. Support troubleshooting of processing errors, exception handling, and validation of output files against project specifications and production requirements. Maintain awareness of chain-of-custody principles, defensibility standards, and handling of sensitive or privileged data in compliance-driven environments. Develop basic understanding of scripting and automation concepts (PowerShell fundamentals, workflow automation logic) to improve operational efficiency. Gain exposure to analytics capabilities including email threading, near-duplicate identification, concept clustering, and predictive coding fundamentals. Demonstrate awareness of information governance frameworks, legal hold procedures, and enterprise data retention policies. Collaborate with senior analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to translate case requirements into structured technical workflows. Manage assigned deliverables within defined SLAs, ensuring accuracy, documentation, and timely completion. Exhibit strong learning agility by rapidly adapting to new tools, evolving legal technology platforms, and data management methodologies.

Skills and Competencies: Bachelor’s degree with strong analytical aptitude and foundational understanding of technical and data-driven concepts. Flexible to work in a 24/7 Follow-the-Sun support model, demonstrating adaptability, accountability, and ability to collaborate across global teams. Strong written and professional communication skills, including structured email drafting, incident reporting, and stakeholder updates. Foundational understanding of large-scale data hosting environments, including data processing workflows, storage fundamentals, and system performance considerations. Familiarity with leading eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Nuix, and Viewpoint (basic navigation, processing, and review workflows). Basic awareness of secure data handling, access controls, compliance standards, and defensible data management practices.
