Perl Developer

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Perl Developer & Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Perl, along with hands-on experience in database management and DevOps tools. This role involves technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and driving end-to-end project execution in a remote setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust and efficient Perl-based applications. Lead the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and improvements. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best coding practices. Integrate and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance in Linux environments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers within the team. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and deployment protocols. Participate in regular code reviews and agile development processes. Primary Skills:

Strong programming experience in Perl. Proficiency with PostgreSQL (database design, optimization, and scripting). Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub and Jenkins for version control and CI/CD. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of C Programming for performance-critical modules. Experience working with Oracle databases. Good understanding of Linux OS for deployment and debugging. Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for cloud-based deployment and services. Familiarity with IDEs like Eclipse or Visual Studio Code. Soft Skills:
