Training Manager
– Grape Farming Operations
We are building Maharashtra’s first structured rural labour ecosystem for grape farming.
We are looking for a highly driven, field-first
Training Manager (Rural)
to lead skill development, compliance, and quality control across grape farming clusters.
⚠️ This is NOT a desk job. This role requires 80%+ on-ground travel across rural farming zones.
Role Overview
You will lead and mentor 2–3 junior field executives (and scale this team over time). You will own:
Labour compliance & governance
Skill assessment & certification
Training module creation
On-ground quality control
Safety & transport audits
Labour standardisation across clusters
You are responsible for building discipline, skill depth, and execution quality across hundreds of labourers.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Governance
Ensure 100% KYC completion of Mukaddams & labour teams
Enforce zero minors working policy
Ensure no pregnant women are engaged in heavy farm labour
Monitor and audit compliance adherence across clusters
Build structured reporting systems for field compliance
Skill Assessment & Certification
Conduct on-ground skill audits across grape farming activities such as:
Viralni
Pruning
Pasting
Tying
Pasting
Thinning
Categorise labour teams as:
Fully Skilled
Semi-skilled
Unskilled
Build transparent evaluation benchmarks and maintain skill database.
Training Content Development
Develop structured, activity-wise training modules
Create PPTs, visual manuals, and video-based learning material
Capture real on-ground footage for contextual training
Standardise SOPs for each grape farming activity
Upskilling Framework
Design roadmap to convert unskilled labour into certified skilled labour
Build measurable performance benchmarks
Implement assessment-based certification model
Improve cluster productivity through structured skill progression
Safety & Transport Audits
Audit transport facilities used by Mukaddam teams
Create and enforce transport safety checklist
Identify vehicle risks, overloading, and unsafe practices
Build standard safety protocols for labour movement
On-ground QC & Best Practices
Identify and document best practices in grape farming operations
Enforce grooming, discipline, and professional standards
Improve productivity through structured training and monitoring
Ensure cluster-level quality consistency
Who This Role Is For
Highly disciplined field leader
Comfortable working in rural Maharashtra
Fluent in Marathi
Strong agronomy understanding of grapes
Comfortable managing labour teams
Comfortable with travel-heavy role
