Role Overview The Client Relationship Officer serves as the primary point of contact between the firm and its clients, ensuring seamless communication, timely service delivery, and long-term client satisfaction. This role is critical to client retention, repeat business, and referral generation.

Roles & Responsibilities Manage and maintain relationships with existing clients across trademark, patent, copyright, and legal compliance portfolios Act as the single point of contact for all client queries, updates, and follow-ups Coordinate with internal teams — Legal, Operations, and Accounts — to ensure timely delivery of filings, registrations, renewals, and advisory services Provide proactive, regular updates to clients regarding case status, hearing dates, office action responses, and documentation requirements Handle client communications professionally through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and in-person meetings Identify additional client requirements (renewals, new filings, enforcement actions, compliance needs) and recommend suitable services Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions, follow-ups, and escalations in the firm's CRM system Support the onboarding process for new clients, including document collection and initial briefing Assist in collecting client feedback and resolving service-related concerns promptly Contribute to client retention targets and support reactivation of dormant client accounts Prepare periodic reports on client engagement, pending follow-ups, and service delivery timelines

Required Skills & Qualifications Graduate or Postgraduate in any relevant discipline (Law, Business Administration, or Commerce preferred) 1–3 years of experience in client handling, customer relationship management, or account management (experience in a legal, CA, or professional services firm is a strong advantage) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships Good coordination, organisational, and follow-up abilities Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and basic reporting tools Ability to handle multiple client accounts simultaneously and work under deadlines A service-oriented mindset with attention to detail

Preferred (Good to Have) Familiarity with IP filings, trademark procedures, or legal service workflows Experience working with CRM tools (Zoho CRM, HubSpot, or similar) Basic understanding of government portal processes (TMR, Patent Office, MCA) Bilingual fluency in Tamil and English
