The Walt Disney Company is seeking a passionate and experiencedSoftware Engineering Managerto lead theServiceNow ITSM teamwithin Enterprise Technology. This team plays a critical role in enabling Disney’s technology teams to manage cloud environments efficiently and securely through self-service platforms and lifecycle automation.
You will lead a team of developers focused on building APIs and services that empower internal customers across Disney’s public cloud environments. The role requires fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and lead a diverse, high-performing software development team through coaching, career development, recruitment, and process improvement.
- Foster a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Provide mentorship and career advocacy to team members.
Technical Delivery & Strategy
- Design and oversee technical solutions that meet Disney’s quality, scalability, and security standards.
- Ensure all software conforms to best practices and enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Champion your team’s work across the organization, ensuring visibility and strategic alignment.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with product engineers, reliability engineers, third-party vendors, and software partners to prioritize work and set clear goals.
- Communicate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Regularly report on team health, delivery status, and identify gaps requiring leadership support.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of technical experience, including at least 2 years in an engineering leadership role.
- Proven ability to communicate technical topics clearly across multiple teams.
- Experience delivering platform services in cloud environments using open-source technologies.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in cloud-native services and serverless technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules and integrations.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Expertise in software engineering principles and practices (SDLC, CI/CD, Agile)
Education
- Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
