Job Description
Summary
We are looking for an experienced Zuora Specialist to lead the implementation, migration, customization, and ongoing support of the Zuora subscription billing platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of end-to-end subscription billing and finance workflows and will work closely with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure Zuora is configured, integrated, and optimized to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Zuora Implementation & Configuration
Lead end-to-end Zuora implementations and migrations, including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-production support.
Configure Zuora Billing, Subscriptions, Product Catalog, pricing models, amendments, renewals, proration, invoicing, payments, credits, and refunds.
Customize Zuora to align with business needs, including complex subscription models and pricing strategies.
Integration & Collaboration
Integrate Zuora with CRM, ERP, and payment gateway systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, etc.) to enable seamless billing workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and finance requirements into scalable Zuora solutions.
Support and validate API-based integrations and data flows.
Process Optimization & Operations
Automate and streamline billing and subscription management processes to improve operational efficiency.
Establish and maintain best practices for Zuora configuration, usage, and governance.
Act as a Zuora Subject Matter Expert (SME) across the organization.
Support, Reporting & Analytics
Provide ongoing production support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring platform stability.
Train and support internal teams on Zuora functionality and best practices.
Monitor billing performance, subscription trends, and recurring revenue metrics.
Generate reports and insights to support business and finance decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6โ10 years of hands-on experience with the Zuora subscription management platform.
Strong understanding of subscription billing lifecycles, SaaS business models, and pricing strategies.
Proven experience configuring complex pricing plans, billing rules, amendments, and renewals in Zuora.
Solid knowledge of finance workflows, including billing schedules, invoicing, revenue schedules, and month-end close.
Experience integrating Zuora with CRM and ERP systems (Salesforce, NetSuite preferred).
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of APIs, web services, and data migration processes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorโs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
Zuora certification(s) or experience with Zuora Revenue / RevPro.
Prior experience working in SaaS or subscription-based business environments.
