Key Accountabilities
Own end-to-end engineering leadership for
Loyalty and Rewards SaaS products , including architecture, delivery, quality, reliability, and scalability.
Define and drive the
engineering strategy and execution roadmap
aligned with product vision, business goals, and customer commitments.
Lead and scale multiple engineering teams.
Establish and evolve the
technical architecture
using the MERN stack, ensuring long-term scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Oversee cloud-native deployments on
AWS , ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.
Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success leaders to align engineering execution with market and customer needs.
Drive
engineering excellence
through strong SDLC practices, code quality standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps maturity.
Own delivery predictability and release governance across multiple product streams.
Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Set and track
engineering KPIs
related to delivery velocity, quality, uptime, and team health.
Build a strong leadership bench by mentoring Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Architects.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
Lead technical decision-making during scale challenges, customer escalations, and critical incidents.
Identify technology and delivery risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies.
Stay current with industry trends relevant to SaaS, cloud platforms, and digital loyalty ecosystems.
Mandatory Skills
Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
15+ years of experience in software engineering, with
5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles
(Head of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or equivalent).
Proven experience leading
large product engineering organizations
delivering
B2B or B2C SaaS platforms .
Strong architectural and hands-on understanding of the
MERN stack
Deep experience operating
AWS-based cloud platforms
in production at scale.
Strong understanding of
microservices architecture , API design, and distributed systems.
Experience building and running
multi-tenant SaaS systems
with high availability requirements.
Proven track record of driving
delivery excellence, quality, and operational stability .
Strong understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release management.
Experience managing
engineering managers and senior technical leaders .
Excellent stakeholder management skills across product, business, and customer-facing teams.
Strong decision-making ability under ambiguity and pressure.
Solid understanding of security best practices across the SDLC.
Desirable Skills
Prior experience in
Loyalty, Rewards, MarTech, FinTech, or Transaction-heavy platforms .
Experience with
event-driven architectures
(Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, or similar).
Exposure to
Next.js , advanced React performance optimization, or frontend platform design.
Familiarity with
observability platforms
(Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
Experience driving
cloud cost optimization
for large-scale SaaS platforms.
Understanding of
data privacy, compliance, and regulatory standards
(GDPR, SOC2).
Exposure to applying
AI/ML or automation
within product engineering (personalization, fraud detection, recommendations).
Experience scaling engineering organizations through periods of rapid growth or transformation.
