Design Engineer / Design Consultant – Quick Release Door (ASME Sec VIII Div 1)

Pina Engineering Private Limited is seeking an experienced Design Engineer / Design Consultant with strong expertise in pressure vessel closures and Quick Release / Quick Closing Door design as per ASME Section VIII, Division 1. This role is critical to the engineering and detailing of safe, reliable, and compliant door systems for autoclaves and pressure vessels.

Key Responsibilities

Design and development of Quick Release / Quick Closing Door mechanisms in compliance with ASME Section VIII Div 1 Preparation of design calculations, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings Selection of materials, sealing systems, locking mechanisms, and safety interlocks Stress analysis and evaluation of pressure loads, operating conditions, and safety factors Coordination with manufacturing, inspection, and quality teams to ensure design intent is achieved Preparation of technical documentation, compliance dossiers, and design reports

Your Profile / Qualifications

Proven experience in pressure vessel design and related accessories Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1 Prior experience in Quick Closing / Quick Release Door design (highly preferred) Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and tolerances Ability to work independently on critical and safety-sensitive design tasks
