Queen Elizabeth’s School, Gurugram is seeking an exceptional
Hindi Teacher

The Role
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging, learner-centred Hindi lessons across all key stages.
Teach Hindi Language and Literature in alignment with the Cambridge International Curriculum standards.
Foster critical thinking, analytical interpretation, and a genuine appreciation for reading and writing.
Employ effective differentiation strategies and innovative teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Actively promote a strong reading and writing culture within Queen Elizabeth’s School, Gurugram.
Assessment & Curriculum Development
Design and implement assessments aligned with Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A Level standards.
Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and inform effective instructional planning.
Collaborate closely with colleagues to continuously enhance and enrich the delivery of the Hindi curriculum.
Integrate cross-disciplinary projects, global perspectives, and appropriate digital tools to enrich learning experiences.
Student Enrichment
Support and mentor students through literary clubs, debate teams, public speaking forums, and creative writing activities.
Organise and contribute to school literary events such as book fairs, poetry slams, author visits, and reading initiatives.
Guide and prepare students for academic competitions and external examinations, as required.
Professional Engagement
Participate in department meetings, planning sessions, CPD activities, and whole school initiatives.
Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about student progress.
Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment that fosters academic and wellbeing.
Safeguarding and Professional Conduct
Uphold the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures at all times.
Uphold the school’s safeguarding and child protection responsibilities, always ensuring student safety and wellbeing.
Maintain professional conduct in line with the school’s values and COBIS expectations, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
The Person
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hindi or a related discipline.
Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent).
Proven experience of 3 years teaching from Foundation Stage to Year 8.
Experience in an international or premium school environment, ideally following the Cambridge curriculum.
Personal Qualities
Excellent command of spoken and written Hindi.
Exposure to international education standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
Well organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach to working with students.
