About the role
The Senior Associate Manager, Commercial Finance will be responsible for U.S. financial operations, gross-to-net (G2N) management, and trade finance oversight for Novugen USA, working on US time zone.
This role is finance-led, with primary accountability for revenue recognition, G2N accuracy, cash flow visibility, financial controls and month-end financial reporting, while providing secondary support to U.S. Sales Operations through coordination with outsourced partners across distribution, 3PL, chargebacks, rebates, and accounting services.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & G2N Ownership (Primary Focus)
Own end-to-end Gross-to-Net (G2N) calculations and reporting, including chargebacks, rebates (GPO, customer, admin), distribution, service, admin fees, returns, credits, and prompt-pay discounts.
Manage G2N accruals, true-ups, and variance analysis
Support revenue recognition in accordance with company policy
Business partnering with Sales Op and other CFTs on month-end and quarter-end close
Support annual budget development and rolling forecasts
Maintain product-level and customer-level sales (Dead net / NSP) and profitability analyses
Monitor marketing, selling and promotional expenses (“MSP”) and perform variance analysis
Trade Finance & Cash Flow Oversight
Prepare and issue monthly statement of account to customers, along with monthly reconciliation
Monitor receivables, deductions, and cash collections across wholesalers and distributors
Prepare cash flow forecasts and liquidity reporting for leadership
Third-Party Financial & Data Management
Serve as primary internal owner for finance-related third-party partners, including chargeback and rebate administrators, wholesaler and distributor financial portals and 3PL billing and logistics finance interface
Reconcile third-party reports to internal financial records
Operational Back-Up & Oversight (Secondary Focus)
Provide financial and data support to U.S. operations, including inventory movement and billing validation, distributor & 3PL invoice review, and support for operational issue resolution where financial exposure exists
Assist with operational readiness for product launches from a finance and controls perspective
Help ensure alignment between commercial activity and financial outcomes
Support the implementation of SAP and Order-To-Cash (ÖTC”) for US Operations
Assist in other tasks assigned by the Manager / Supervisor
Reporting & Leadership Support
Prepare monthly financial, G2N and MSP reporting packages for leadership
Prepare the forecasted sales for the following month and 3-month cash flow forecast for leadership
Support ad-hoc analyses related to pricing changes, contract terms, or market events
Identify financial risks related to pricing erosion, deductions, or channel
About you
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Must have experience in US reporting in the pharmaceutical industry.
4–5 years of hands-on experience in gross-to-net (G2N) management, and trade finance.
Proven track record within a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing business.
Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO and related manufacturing modules) with the ability to extract, analyse, and present financial data effectively.
