Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DBT Developer with strong expertise in modern data transformation and analytics engineering. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with dbt Core, dbt Cloud, and data modeling best practices, along with the ability to design scalable data pipelines and ensure high data quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt. - Build and manage data models across the entire analytics lifecycle. - Implement reusable logic using Jinja and dbt macros. - Recommend and implement optimal materialization strategies such as: - Incremental - Snapshot - View - Table - Ephemeral - Develop and maintain data quality tests including generic and singular tests. - Integrate and utilize external dbt packages such as: - dbt-utils - dbt-expectations - Elementary - Monitor and improve data observability and reliability. - Troubleshoot and resolve data transformation and quality issues. - Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data models. - Maintain best practices for version control, CI/CD, and data governance.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with dbt (dbt Core and dbt Cloud). - Strong experience in Jinja templating and macro development. - Expertise in data modeling and analytics engineering principles. - Experience working with Git for version control. - Familiarity with AWS MWAA, Amazon Redshift, and modern data platforms. - Strong SQL and data transformation skills. - Ability to diagnose and resolve data quality issues and pipeline failures.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in enterprise-scale data environments. - Understanding of data engineering and analytics engineering best practices. - Experience with cloud-based data platforms and orchestration tools.
