Job Title: Design Engineer – Storm Water Design

Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (M.E / M.Tech in Environmental Engineering preferred)

Job Summary

The Design Engineer – Storm Water Design will be responsible for the planning, analysis, and detailed design of stormwater and surface water drainage systems for infrastructure and urban development projects. The role involves hydraulic and hydrological analysis, preparation of design reports and drawings, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with international standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop concept, schematic, and detailed stormwater drainage designs for infrastructure and urban projects. - Perform hydrological and hydraulic calculations for storm drainage networks and flood management systems. - Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, design calculations, BOQs, and tender documentation. - Coordinate with roads, utilities, wet services, and other disciplines for integrated project delivery. - Review design deliverables and implement revisions based on internal QA/QC and client feedback. - Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international codes/standards. - Participate in value engineering and optimization of drainage systems. - Support permit applications and client presentations when required.

Technical Competencies

- Strong knowledge of stormwater drainage principles and flood mitigation systems - Experience in hydraulic modeling and network design - Good understanding of international standards (BS, AASHTO, DMRB, etc.) - Excellent report writing and documentation skills - Strong coordination and communication abilities
