The MEPF Project Technical Expert is responsible for providing end-to-end technical support for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEPF) projects. The role focuses on technical planning, design review, BOQ preparation, coordination with internal teams, consultants, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are executed as per approved specifications, quality standards, timelines, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Planning & Design Coordination

Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work related to MEPF systems. Coordinate with consultants, architects, and clients for technical clarifications and design approvals. Prepare and review shop drawings, GFC drawings, and technical submittals. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and statutory requirements.

2. BOQ, Estimation & Budget Control

Prepare and verify BOQs, cost estimates, and material take-offs for MEPF works. Support tendering activities including technical bid evaluation and comparison. Assist in value engineering and cost optimization without compromising quality.

3. Vendor & OEM Coordination

Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical discussions, datasheets, and approvals. Evaluate technical offers and ensure alignment with project requirements. Support finalization of makes, models, and technical specifications.

4. Project Support & Coordination

Provide technical guidance to site teams during execution. Resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and RFIs raised during project execution. Monitor progress from a technical standpoint and support planning schedules.

5. Quality Assurance & Documentation

Ensure MEPF installations adhere to approved drawings and technical standards. Review method statements, test procedures, and inspection checklists. Support preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.

6. Client & Stakeholder Communication

Participate in technical meetings with clients and consultants. Provide technical presentations and clarifications as required. Support project close-out activities and technical sign-offs.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and technical documentation Sound understanding of IS, NBC, NFPA, and relevant standards Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualification & Experience Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline Experience in MEPF project execution or technical office roles Experience in industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, or infrastructure projects preferred
