ROLE CONTEXT (Read This Carefully)

This is

not a UI-heavy QA role .

The company

builds

data connectivity, integration, and real-time data access platforms

used by enterprises worldwide. Quality is deeply tied to

data correctness, SQL accuracy, backend validation, and system integrity . If you enjoy working close to

databases, APIs, backend systems, and complex data flows , this role is for you.

✅ CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

SQL & Data Validation (Top Priority) • Perform deep data validation using

complex SQL queries • Validate data correctness across multiple tables, schemas, and systems • Debug data mismatches between API responses, backend services, and databases • Work with joins, subqueries, aggregations, CTEs, and performance-sensitive queries • Validate transactional integrity and reconciliation across systems

Backend & API Testing • Test backend systems and REST APIs that interact heavily with databases • Validate API → DB → downstream data flows • Perform API testing using Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar tools • Identify root causes of backend and data-level issues

Automation Engineering

• Build and maintain automation suites for backend and UI workflows • Work with

Java-based automation frameworks • Hands-on experience with Selenium / Playwright (UI is secondary, backend is primary) • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines

QA Leadership • Lead and mentor QA engineers with a strong backend mindset • Define test strategies focused on data correctness and system reliability • Ensure stable, repeatable test processes for complex systems • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

SQL (Absolute Must)

You

must

have: • Strong hands-on SQL experience (not “basic SQL”) • Experience writing joins, subqueries, aggregations, and complex validations • Experience debugging real production data issues using SQL • Experience validating data across integrated systems ❌ If your SQL experience is limited to simple SELECT queries, this role is not a fit.

Java + Backend Exposure

• Strong experience with

Java

(reading, writing, debugging test code) • Experience working with backend systems and services • Experience testing systems where

data correctness is critical Automation & Tools

• Selenium or Playwright (hands-on) • API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, Karate) • CI/CD exposure (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.) Career & Practical Requirements

• 6–10 years total experience •

Stable career progression

(frequent job switchers will not be considered) • Immediate joiners or short notice preferred • Strong problem-solving and debugging mindset

NICE TO HAVE (BUT NOT MANDATORY)

• Experience with data platforms, ETL, BI, ERP, or integration products • Experience with cloud environments • Experience working on enterprise or data-heavy products
