Role Overview As the SVP of Engineering, you will lead Aviso AI’s global engineering execution from India, reporting directly to the CTO. You will be responsible for scaling the engineering organization, driving architectural and operational excellence, and ensuring high-velocity product delivery. You will act as both the India Engineering Leader and a strategic partner to the CTO, shaping the company’s technology roadmap, enabling platform innovation, and building a world-class engineering culture.

Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:

Partner with the CTO to define and execute Aviso’s engineering vision, technical roadmap, and long-term architecture. Organization Building:

Scale and lead distributed teams across backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and data engineering. Execution Excellence:

Drive engineering rigor, agile development practices, and on-time, high-quality delivery of product releases. Architecture & Infrastructure : Oversee design and evolution of scalable, secure, and performant systems — including microservices, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. Platform Ownership:

Ensure core engineering systems enable AI/ML and Data Science teams with robust data engineering and infrastructure support. People Leadership:

Build and nurture a high-performing, values-driven engineering team through hiring, mentoring, and capability development. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to ensure technical alignment with business and product goals. India Leadership:

Serve as Aviso’s senior-most technology leader in India, fostering engagement, culture, and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications 20+ years of total engineering experience, with at least 8+ years in senior leadership (VP/SVP/Head of Engineering) roles at high-growth SaaS or enterprise product companies. Proven track record of managing large, distributed engineering teams (100+ engineers) delivering enterprise-grade platforms. Deep experience in cloud-native architectures (AWS/GCP), microservices, data engineering, DevOps, and large-scale SaaS systems. Strong technical background in Python, distributed systems, and data infrastructure. Ability to drive architectural decisions balancing speed, scalability, and reliability. Strong leadership and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with product, design, and data science. Strategic mindset combined with operational excellence and execution discipline.
