Key Responsibilities
As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be pivotal in scaling our teams across
India and the United States
. A significant part of your role will involve navigating the complexities of US staffing and employment compliance.
I. Global Full-Cycle Technical Recruiting (India & US)
End-to-End Recruitment:
Own the entire technical recruitment lifecycle for a variety of roles, including
Software Engineers, DevOps, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and AI/ML Specialists
, from initial job brief through offer negotiation and onboarding.
Strategic Sourcing:
Develop and execute multi-faceted, creative sourcing strategies (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized job boards, industry events, social media, and internal referrals) to build a robust, diverse, and qualified candidate pipeline in both geographies.
Exceptional Candidate Experience:
Serve as an ambassador for Giggso, ensuring a positive, transparent, and highly engaging candidate experience that clearly reflects our unique startup culture and values.
Stakeholder Partnership:
Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers in India and the US, defining role requirements, setting recruitment expectations, and providing data-driven, timely updates on hiring progress.
II. US Staffing & Employment Compliance
US Employment Expertise:
Maintain an up-to-date, in-depth understanding of
US employment types
(e.g., W2, 1099, C2C, Permanent Hire) and their associated
legal, tax, and contractual restrictions/implications
for both onshore and offshore hiring.
Compliance Integration:
Ensure all US-based recruitment processes and vendor engagements adhere strictly to relevant labor laws and compliance requirements.
Contract Negotiation:
Lead negotiations with candidates and US staffing vendors on employment contracts, rates, and benefits, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with Giggso’s compensation structure.
III. Vendor Management & Staffing Operations
Global Vendor Strategy:
Identify, vet, and onboard external staffing agencies and third-party vendors, with a strong focus on those specializing in
niche US and India IT talent
.
Performance & SLA Management:
Establish and monitor clear
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
and
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
for all vendors (e.g., quality of submissions, time-to-fill, interview-to-offer ratios). Report performance to stakeholders.
Cost Control:
Conduct detailed negotiations on placement fees, conversion rates, and contractual terms to ensure maximum cost-effectiveness and strict adherence to the recruitment budget.
Process Optimization:
Standardize and streamline the vendor submission and tracking process across both regions, maintaining a highly organized and auditable vendor management database/system.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
3+ years
of progressive experience in end-to-end technical IT recruitment, ideally within a high-growth startup or fast-paced technology environment.
US Staffing Mandate:
Demonstrable, hands-on experience and a strong working knowledge of US staffing requirements
, including different employment classifications (W2, 1099, C2C) and the related contractual and compliance nuances.
Vendor Management:
At least
1 year
of direct experience managing, negotiating with, and evaluating the performance of external staffing/recruitment agencies.
Communication & Influence:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build immediate rapport, influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively across different cultural contexts.
Education:
Masters degree in Human Resources (Full-time program is mandatory).
