SkillsCapital is hiring Software Engineer Interns
who will work as
core product engineers , not task-based interns. This role is designed to give you
end-to-end exposure
to how modern, production-grade software platforms are built, shipped, improved, and scaled in a fast-growing AI-powered startup.
You will work closely with the founding team, product managers, and senior engineers, contributing directly to
live systems used by global customers . This is a
hands-on, high-responsibility internship
where you will write real code, solve real problems, and see your work go into production.

What You Will Work On As a Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute across
engineering, product workflows, platform reliability, and AI-enabled systems .
Product Engineering & Feature Development
Build and enhance core platform features across the candidate portal, client dashboard, and internal tools.
Translate product requirements and user workflows into clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
Work on backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power SkillsCapital’s Talent Cloud.
Contribute to frontend components and user experiences where applicable.
Platform & Systems Thinking
Understand how different parts of the platform interact — data, APIs, workflows, and AI layers.
Improve performance, reliability, and usability of existing systems.
Assist in designing modular, reusable components and services.
Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
AI & Data-Driven Features (Exposure)
Support engineering efforts around AI-powered matching, scoring, and intelligence layers.
Help integrate structured data models, parsing outputs, and system intelligence into workflows.
Work with real-world datasets used by global customers.
Engineering Quality & Execution
Write well-tested, production-quality code.
Participate in code reviews, bug fixes, and refactoring cycles.
Assist in test case creation, validation, and deployment readiness.
Maintain clear technical documentation and implementation notes.
Collaboration & Product Feedback
Work closely with product managers and designers to refine workflows.
Understand customer use cases and translate feedback into engineering improvements.
Support rapid iteration cycles based on real user behavior and feedback.

Technical background (one or more preferred):
Programming experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, Python, Java, or similar
Familiarity with web development, APIs, databases, or cloud concepts
Exposure to React, Node.js, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, or cloud platforms is a plus
Prior internship, personal projects, or GitHub contributions are a plus but not mandatory
