Consultant Rheumatologist

Job Location: MD

Key Responsibilities

- Patient Evaluation & Diagnosis: Diagnose and manage rheumatic and autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, vasculitis, and osteoarthritis. Conduct detailed clinical assessments, laboratory interpretations, and imaging reviews. Develop personalized treatment plans for patients.

- Treatment & Disease Management: Prescribe and manage disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs), biologic therapies, and immunosuppressive treatments. Monitor treatment outcomes and manage medication side effects. Provide long-term management for chronic rheumatologic conditions.

- Procedures & Interventions: Perform joint aspirations, joint injections, and other rheumatology-related procedures. Provide pain management and supportive care for musculoskeletal conditions.

- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, pain specialists, and internal medicine physicians. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions for complex cases.

- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, and follow-up documentation. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH standards, and patient safety protocols.

- Patient Education & Preventive Care: Educate patients on disease management, lifestyle changes, and rehabilitation. Promote preventive care and early diagnosis of rheumatic diseases.

Qualifications & Experience

- MBBS + MD (General Medicine) + DM / DNB in Rheumatology or equivalent specialization.

- Valid State Medical Council / NMC registration.

- Relevant clinical experience in rheumatology is preferred.

- Fresher to 3 years Experience
