Backend Developer (Node.js + SQL)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled backend developer with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in Node.js, SQL databases, and real-time & payment integrations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, designing efficient database structures, building secure APIs, integrating payment gateways (Razorpay), and implementing real-time communication using MQTT.

You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js - Design, implement, and optimize SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) - Build secure and scalable RESTful APIs - Integrate and manage payment gateway services (Razorpay) - Implement and manage real-time communication using MQTT protocol - Optimize database queries and improve application performance - Implement authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth) - Ensure data security, payment security, and compliance best practices - Handle error logging, monitoring, and debugging in production - Integrate backend APIs with React.js frontend applications - Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams for smooth deployment - Participate in code reviews and technical architecture discussions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in backend development - Strong proficiency in Node.js - Strong experience with SQL databases (MySQL / PostgreSQL) - Experience in building and consuming REST APIs - Hands-on experience with Razorpay payment gateway integration - Order creation - Payment verification - Webhooks handling - Refund processing - Experience implementing MQTT protocol for real-time messaging - Good understanding of database schema design & query optimization - Knowledge of authentication & authorization mechanisms - Experience with Git version control - Understanding of API security best practices
