We are seeking an experienced
Master Data Management (MDM) Specialist
to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise master data across critical supply chain domains. This role plays a key part in our
Order Management System (OMS) and replenishment modernization , supporting the transition from
Symphony Gold to RELEX .
You will be responsible for establishing trusted golden records, enforcing strong data quality standards, and building governed workflows that connect upstream ERP and PIM systems with RELEX, OMS, merchandising, and analytics platforms. Your work will directly impact forecasting accuracy, replenishment efficiency, and order orchestration across the enterprise.
What You Will Do
MDM Strategy and Governance
Define and implement MDM policies, data standards, business rules, and stewardship models across Product, Vendor, and Location domains
Establish data ownership models, approval workflows, and change controls for item and vendor onboarding
Manage complex hierarchies including category, department, class, store clusters, planograms, and fulfillment nodes
Data Modeling and Golden Record Management
Design canonical data models, survivorship rules, and match and merge logic for duplicate detection
Implement and govern reference data such as UOM, tax, currency, lifecycle codes, and hazard flags
Ensure data lineage and impact analysis across ERP, PIM, MDM, RELEX, OMS, WMS, Finance, and reporting platforms
Data Quality and Stewardship
Develop and automate data quality rules and scorecards focused on completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness
Lead data profiling, cleansing initiatives, and mass updates including UOM, pack size, lead times, and min max
Coordinate UAT, cutover readiness, and master data validation during the Symphony Gold to RELEX migration
Integration and Automation
Partner with integration teams on APIs, event streaming, and ETL or ELT pipelines
Support both real-time and batch master data distribution across enterprise platforms
Embed data validation checks into CI/CD pipelines and environment promotion processes
Compliance and Enablement
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, SOX, and audit requirements
Develop MDM runbooks, SOPs, and incident response procedures
Train data stewards and business users and enable self-service onboarding workflows
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelorโs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data and Analytics, or equivalent experience
Experience
4 to 7 years of experience in MDM, data governance, or data engineering within retail or supply chain environments
Experience supporting forecasting or replenishment systems, preferably RELEX
Symphony Gold experience is a strong plus
Technical Skills
Strong SQL skills including joins, window functions, and data profiling
Experience with ETL or ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or SSIS
API integration experience using REST and JSON
Familiarity with data quality, metadata, and catalog tools
Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices
Domain Knowledge
Deep understanding of product, vendor, and location master data
Knowledge of UOM, pack configuration, lead times, safety stock, assortment, and substitution
Solid understanding of OMS concepts including ATP, inventory availability, reservations, and sourcing
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience configuring or onboarding data into RELEX
Background in retail merchandising, pricing, or assortment planning
