About the Role We are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will work alongside senior engineers to build and maintain backend services that power our products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop strong backend fundamentals while working on real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js Build and test RESTful APIs following established patterns Write database queries using MongoDB and MySQL Implement features based on requirements provided by senior engineers Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality Debug issues and fix bugs across the backend codebase Use Git for version control and collaborate through pull requests Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback Assist with API documentation using Swagger and Postman

Required Skills & Experience 1-2 years of backend development experience (internships count) Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js Working knowledge of Express.js for building APIs Basic understanding of TypeScript Experience with MongoDB and MySQL for basic CRUD operations Understanding of REST principles and HTTP methods Familiarity with Git for version control Comfortable with Linux command line Basic knowledge of authentication (JWT, API keys) Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Nice-to-Have Skills Experience with TypeScript in projects Exposure to WebSockets (Socket.IO) for real-time features Basic Docker knowledge Familiarity with Redis for caching Any cloud platform exposure (AWS, GCP) Experience with Postman for API testing
