What You’ll Be Doing (Position Summary):
The QA Analyst is responsible for developing and executing test scenarios and scripts for Development Integration Testing (DIT) involving various applications across multiple platforms, in compliance with established standards and processes. The role utilizes a solid understanding of the banking domain to define and document criteria for testing and present results following the defined testing methodology. The QA Analyst is primarily responsible for handling the test activities and deliverables for assigned projects, coordinating with onshore teams to ensure consistent workflow, and exercising sound judgment and autonomy in day-to-day tasks. This role proactively addresses problems within the scope of responsibility and identifies areas for improvement to enhance the quality and effectiveness of testing activities.

How You’ll Succeed (Responsibilities):
Execute Testing Activities:
Analyze, define, and translate business and functional requirements, use cases, designs, and specifications into testing requirements.
Manage and coordinate end-to-end testing activities for small and large projects across delivery teams with both onsite and offshore resources.
Develop and execute test scenarios and scripts in compliance with defined standards and processes.
Relationship Building:
Respond to inquiries and requests from delivery teams, providing high-quality deliverables for assigned projects to ensure test efficiency and effectiveness.
Liaise and interact with developers, delivery teams, and other members of the DIT team as part of daily management of test activities to support project delivery or address issues.
Collaboration:
Work with test leads, business analysts, and development teams to establish test plans, standards, and procedures that add value to software projects and satisfy project constraints.
Review project documentation to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Monitor & Reporting:
Monitor project adherence to quality standards and track / provide progress of testing, including status reporting as needed.
Adhere to CIBC’s processes through all phases of the software development life cycle, ensuring test activities are compliant with test standards.
Recognize, anticipate, and resolve challenges during the testing life cycle.
Experience:
6 - 8 years of experience.
Who You Are (Skills / Qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Testing, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies, QA approaches, tools and technologies.
At least 3 years of broad experience with Jira / Confluence, ALM, Parasoft SOAtest (or SOAPUI or PostMan or equivalent), Selenium, WebServices (SOAP/REST), UI, SQL / DB, and ETL testing.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in automated software testing and creating test packages from the ground up.
Hands on experience working with Java or Python or any scripting language.
Strong expertise in developing automated test scenarios and scripts using leading automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Data driven) and preferably AI-powered testing tools.
Knowledge of AML / ITC and experience with regulatory projects / programs is a plus.
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and impactfully.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
