Principal Engineer- Fabrication

Reporting to – AGM- Engineering & Estimation

Role Summary

● Learn and absorb aerospace fabrication processes, standards, and best practices from the UK facility, and lead the work transfer and replication of fabrication activities to Sri City, ensuring seamless transition and production readiness. ● Establish, validate, and stabilize sheet-metal forming technologies, including forming, rolling, lancing, and expansion processes. ● Prove out sheet-metal parts, tooling, and routings to achieve first-time-right manufacturing and successful FAI. ● Develop, release, and standardize routing, process sheets, work instructions, and fabrication practices. ● Set up, optimize, and stabilize TIG welding and seam welding processes, including parameters, fixtures, and weld consistency. ● Support NPI activities, FAI approval, and smooth ramp-up of transferred parts into serial production. ● Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues related to form accuracy, fit-up, distortion, and repeatability, ensuring long-term process stability. ● Ensure full compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, and internal quality standards. ● Coordinate with UK engineering, Quality, and local production teams for effective knowledge transfer and closure of gaps
