Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Application DBA Architects to lead, architect, and manage Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) database projects.
This is a senior, client-facing role requiring expertise in EBS architecture, database administration, and delivery management. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring database performance, scalability, and high availability, while acting as a technical authority and leading project teams.
The role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, client engagement, and delivery ownership, ensuring successful execution of EBS database initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of Oracle EBS databases, including multi-tier environments, performance tuning, and high availability.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of EBS database projects, ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with development, functional, and infrastructure teams to support EBS application performance, upgrades, and migrations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DBA teams and delivery staff.
- Ensure database governance, compliance, and security policies are adhered to.
- Engage with clients to understand requirements, present architecture solutions, and provide regular project updates.
- Drive EBS patching, cloning, and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
- Proactively identify project risks and issues, proposing mitigation strategies for smooth delivery.
- Coordinate across global teams for offshore/onshore delivery and resource management.
- Implement automation, monitoring, and optimization strategies for EBS databases.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS DBA / Architect and project delivery lead.
- Hands-on experience in EBS database architecture, cloning, patching, upgrade, and performance tuning.
- Proven delivery management experience handling EBS or enterprise application database projects.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, RAC, Data Guard, and backup/recovery.
- Experience in EBS modules like Financials, SCM, HCM is desirable.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) for EBS migrations or deployments is a plus.
- Strong stakeholder management, client engagement, and leadership skills.
Nice to Have
- Certification: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – EBS or Database Administrator.
- Experience with automation, DevOps pipelines, and database monitoring tools.
- Prior experience managing offshore/onshore teams.
- Knowledge of GCC or global enterprise projects with EBS implementations.
