Senior Technical Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join our Professional Services team supporting the implementation and configuration of our ConceptOne™ platform. This role is ideal for a technically strong developer with experience in SQL, developers with the ability to read and understand a relational database model, and data-driven forms solutions who enjoys working directly with project teams to deliver scalable software configurations.

In this role, you will design and develop custom forms, reports, and database logic that support complex insurance workflows. You will work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and client stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions within the ConceptOne platform.

The Technical Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality implementations by combining strong database skills with a deep understanding of system configuration, reporting, and document generation.

Experience Band: 4 -7 Years

Role and Responsibilities: Participate in technical solution design and configuration for the ConceptOne™ platform. Translate functional and business requirements into technical designs and system configurations. Serve as a technical subject matter expert across assigned implementation projects. Design and develop interactive forms and data-driven document generation solutions. Build and maintain custom data sources used for merge documents and form generation. Implement stored procedures and database functions that support form workflows and business logic. Ensure forms support efficient data capture, validation, and document production. Develop SQL stored procedures, functions, and queries supporting system configuration and integrations. Build custom reports and data extracts using Appeon Infomaker or similar reporting tools. Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and efficient data retrieval. Support migration and conversion of Appeon Adaptive Server Anywhere SQL to Microsoft SQL Server syntax. Develop custom integrations with various external applications using our API/SDK Develop and execute unit tests supporting system configuration and development work. Support system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during project delivery. Identify risks or technical challenges early and propose solutions to project leadership. Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and architects to deliver client solutions. Provide technical expertise throughout implementation, configuration, and deployment phases. Document technical designs, configuration decisions, and development standards.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Systems, or related technical field. 4–7 years of experience in software implementation, database development, or technical consulting. Experience working with insurance policy administration systems, with strong familiarity in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain and enterprise policy administration platforms. Strong SQL development experience including: Stored procedures Functions Query optimization Data transformations Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSMS. Experience working with relational database systems. Experience with reporting or forms technologies such as: Appeon Infomaker Qlik SSRS or similar reporting tools. Experience supporting data integrations or API-based systems. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience working with

insurance software platforms or Insurtech solutions . Experience with

XML data structures

or document generation systems. Experience supporting

enterprise software implementations . Experience converting SQL dialects or supporting database migrations.
