We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python to build and scale high-performance, consumer-facing applications. The role involves designing robust APIs, managing databases, and deploying scalable systems on AWS. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure reliability, performance, and seamless user experience for high-traffic B2C platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs Build high-performance, secure, and reliable server-side applications Develop and manage RESTful APIs for mobile and web applications Optimise backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability Work closely with frontend, product, and DevOps teams Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Conduct code reviews and ensure high engineering standards Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues Participate in architecture discussions and system design Requirements: 4+ years of backend development experience with Python (mandatory) Experience with backend frameworks such as Django / FastAPI / Flask Good to have exposure to Golang or Node.js Strong command over PostgreSQL (relational DB) and MongoDB (NoSQL/document DB) Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs Practical experience deploying applications on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3) Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimisation Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows Familiarity with caching (Redis), message queues, or event-driven architecture is a plus Understanding of application security best practices
