Role: Product Designer (with Product Management Skills)

GatherGov indexes every local government conversation in the US, building a best-in-class knowledge graph. Our tools empower data driven professionals across industries to create new strategies, uncover business leads, and make more confident decisions.

We’re looking for a senior Product Designer (5+ years) who can own the end-to-end product experience—from concept to launch. This role blends strong UX/UI and visual design with product management and client-facing collaboration.

What you’ll do Design intuitive, polished user experiences (UX/UI, interaction design, animations, graphic design) Partner on product discovery: user research, requirements, and prioritization Work closely with founder to translate client conversations into clear product and design decisions Collaborate closely with engineering and leadership in a fast-moving startup environment Iterate quickly based on feedback, data, and real-world usage

What we’re looking for 5+ years experience in product design, ideally in startups Figma native Strong portfolio across UX/UI, visual design, and motion/interaction Product-minded: comfortable shaping scope, tradeoffs, edge-cases, metrics and roadmaps Excellent communicator; confident speaking directly with clients Comfortable owning problems and driving solutions end to end

Bonus: Experience designing data and analytics heavy products.
