to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Business Intelligence solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into insightful dashboards, reports, and data models that support strategic and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Management: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to transform raw data into consumable formats, including dashboards, reports, and analytical data models. BI Architecture & Semantic Models: Own, enhance, and optimise BI semantic models and overall BI architecture to support scalable and enterprise-wide analytics. Reporting & Dashboards: Lead the development and maintenance of advanced, interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualisations to deliver actionable insights to business users. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, business analysts, and department heads to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions. Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior BI developers, promote best practices in BI development, data governance, and solution design. Data Governance & Best Practices: Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and adherence to organisational data governance standards across all BI platforms. BI Development Lifecycle: Implement and follow BI development lifecycle best practices, including version control (repositories), work item management, build and release pipelines, and deployment processes. Performance Optimisation: Proactively monitor and optimise BI systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Training & Enablement: Provide technical training and knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging BI tools, technologies, and techniques, and recommend improvements to strengthen the organisation’s BI capabilities. Documentation: Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, data models, and development processes to ensure consistency and maintainability.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead technical role. Strong hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SSRS, or similar platforms. Experience with cloud-based BI and data platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Strong expertise in SQL/T-SQL, including complex queries, data extraction, and manipulation. Hands-on experience with DAX and Power Query. In-depth knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data pipelines. Strong expertise in data modelling, database design, and performance optimisation. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams. Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire team members.

Desirable Skills

Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis. Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark. BI tool certifications (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) are a plus. Experience with data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
