Role Overview
Weโre looking for a detail-oriented and solution-driven
Packaging Quality & Development Executive
who will own packaging execution end-to-end โ from quality checks to vendor coordination and on-ground problem solving. This role requires
regular travel to multiple vendor locations
to ensure packaging quality, color accuracy, and production standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packaging Quality Control (QC)
Inspect incoming and in-process packaging materials (bottles, cartons, labels, caps, pumps, etc.)
Ensure
color accuracy, print consistency, finishes, dimensions, and material quality
match approved masters
Conduct
on-site QC checks at vendor facilities
during trials and production runs
Identify defects (shade variation, misregistration, leakage, weak material, alignment
issues) and ensure corrective action
Maintain QC reports, shade cards, and approval samples
2. Vendor Visits & Coordination
Travel regularly to multiple packaging vendors
for production monitoring and approvals
Coordinate sampling, revisions, and production timelines on the ground
Act as the main point of contact between brand/design teams and vendors
Resolve quality and colour deviations directly at vendor locations
Build long-term vendor relationships to improve consistency and accountability
3. Packaging Development & Solutions
Translate packaging designs into production-ready solutions
Suggest
material, print, and finish optimisations
without compromising the brand
quality
Troubleshoot recurring issues like colour shifts, fading, transit damage, or leakage
Support scale-up by ensuring packaging performs consistently across batches and
vendors
4. Documentation & Process
Maintain packaging specifications, approved shade cards, and master samples
Track revisions, QC approvals, costs, and MOQs
Support standardisation of packaging QC processes across vendors
Required Skills & Experience
1โ4 years of experience in
packaging QC, production, or vendor management
Strong hands-on understanding of:
Primary & secondary packaging materials
Printing processes (offset, flexo, screen, gravure, foil)
Color management, shade matching, and finishes
Comfortable with
frequent travel to vendor locations
Strong follow-up, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
FMCG / Beauty / Personal Care industry experience
Exposure to color proofing, print approvals, or press checks
Understanding of sustainability-led packaging
