supplies manual and automatic industrial parts cleaning systems , supported by application engineering, installation, commissioning, and after-sales service. Complementing its machines business, the company operates a chemical manufacturing facility in Coimbatore,
producing cleaning, surface protection, welding, and lubrication solutions using German technology.
By integrating machines, services, and in-house manufactured chemicals, Regent Biochem delivers end-to-end, performance-driven solutions that enhance process efficiency, reliability, and long-term operational performance across diverse industrial sectors.
As part of its long-term strategy, the company is building capabilities to
manufacture industrial cleaning machines in India , reinforcing its commitment to localization, faster service responsiveness, and scalable growth of the Machines Vertical.
Position Overview:
The Head – Industrial Machines & Services
will lead and scale Regent Biochem’s Machines Vertical, owning both
machine sales and machine-led service businesses . The role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of industrial cleaning machines (manual and automatic systems), including application engineering, solution selling, installation and commissioning, service delivery, preventive strategies, documentation, and Industry 4.0–aligned automation upgrades.
Beyond equipment sales, the role will design and grow
machine-led service and lifecycle revenue models , leveraging the installed base to drive recurring income through services, consumables, spares, upgrades, and digital monitoring. The position also involves
building service capability through recruitment, training, and development of the technical team , and owns technical excellence, customer satisfaction, service scalability, recurring revenue growth, and the long-term profitability and expansion of the Machines Vertical.

Key Responsibilities:
Machines Vertical Revenue & Solution Ownership:
Own growth of the Machines Vertical through machine sales and solution selling. Engage customers to understand cleaning requirements and recommend the right machine configurations by clearly articulating value creation (productivity, quality consistency, uptime, safety, and lifecycle cost benefits). Drive customer engagement, technical presentations, demonstrations/trials, quotation and technical offer preparation, objection handling, negotiations, and order closure with structured handover for execution.
Machine-Led Services & Lifecycle Revenue:
Design, launch, and scale machine-led service models (AMCs, cleaning-as-a-service, upgrades, digital services, and renewals) to generate recurring revenue from the installed base. Own lifecycle value per machine by bundling services, consumables, spares, upgrades, and performance improvements to drive long-term customer retention and profitability.
Installation, Commissioning & Customer Enablement:
Ensure successful installation and commissioning of machines at customer sites, achieving defined performance and safety standards. Enable customers through structured training of operators and supervisors on machine operation, safety guidelines, best practices, and service expectations to ensure sustained performance and adoption.
After-Sales Support & Service Response:
Own service excellence by ensuring high machine uptime and customer satisfaction. Lead breakdown response and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems, ensuring disciplined response times, RCA-based corrective actions, and consistent improvement in service TAT and reliability.
Application Engineering & Process Excellence:
Develop deep expertise in machine application and architecture, including process flow, cleaning chambers, pumps, piping, filtration, heating/dosing systems, fixtures/jigs, material compatibility, safety systems, and sensors/actuators. Drive application engineering through process optimization at customer sites and continuous improvement based on field feedback and performance data.
SPM Engineering, Customization & Build Support:
Support technical problem-solving during machine customization/modification, assembly, testing, and until dispatch. Prepare and validate pneumatic/hydraulic circuits and layouts, finalize pneumatic and special linear motion components, and develop machine operation and sequence logic for SPM and custom-built machines/equipment.
Automation, Digital Enablement & Industry 4.0:
Lead modernization of machines from legacy to smart/digital systems using HMI, SCADA (where applicable), alarm logging, cycle monitoring, performance tracking, and IT connectivity. Leverage digital capabilities to enable remote monitoring, predictive maintenance, and service-led revenue models aligned with Industry 4.0. Coordinate with internal/external automation teams and manage outsourced automation tasks when assigned.
Technical Documentation, SOPs & Knowledge Systems:
Establish and maintain robust SOPs, machine manuals, service and troubleshooting guides, and ISO-compliant documentation to standardize operations, enable scalability, and reduce dependency on individuals.
Cost, Value & Commercial Engineering:
Drive technical-commercial decision-making for equipment selection, design-to-cost initiatives, and make/buy or outsourcing evaluations. Balance cost, quality, reliability, and scalability to ensure sustainable profitability of the Machines Vertical.
Supplier & Partner Ecosystem Management:
Manage suppliers and technology partners for component selection, automation integration, technical clarifications, and performance evaluation, ensuring reliability, delivery, and long-term scalability of machine and service offerings.
Team Building & Service Capability Development:
Build and lead a high-performing machines and services team by recruiting the right talent, developing technical and customer-facing skills, and establishing scalable service workflows and SOPs. Create organizational capability to support growth of machine sales, service delivery, and machine-led business models.
Qualifications:

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Instrumentation (preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered).
8–10 years of experience in industrial machine sales/service, automation, or mechanical service roles.
Strong knowledge of machine mechanics and industrial equipment architecture.
Working knowledge of electrical systems including motors, sensors, wiring, control panels, and safety interlocks.
Exposure to electronics and control elements used in industrial machines.
Strong pneumatics competency, including circuit preparation, component selection, and cylinder sizing calculations.
Strong troubleshooting capability with a service mindset and systematic diagnostic approach.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to resolving technical, service, and business challenges.
Proven documentation skills covering SOPs, machine manuals, work instructions, and service formats.
Working knowledge of HMI and SCADA concepts.
Industry 4.0 mindset with exposure to monitoring, alarm logging, cycle data capture, and basic connectivity.
Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical features into customer value, support technical sales discussions, handle objections, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Ability to mentor, train, and develop service and technical teams (preferred).
Experience in parts washers, industrial cleaning systems, SPMs, or custom machines - including commissioning, breakdown service, and preventive maintenance - is an added advantage.
