Assistant Manager – Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

Job Summary - We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Fund Accounting to handle end-to-end accounting for Private Equity and Hedge Funds. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in LP–GP accounting, capital activities, investor reporting, and hedge fund NAV processes, with a strong understanding of alternative investment structures.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform end-to-end Private Equity and Hedge Fund accounting, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and NAV calculations.

· Prepare and review Capital Call notices, distributions, redemptions, and investor statements.

· Maintain and reconcile PCAP (Partners’ Capital Accounts) for LPs and GPs (PE funds).

· Handle LP–GP accounting, including allocations, profit sharing, expense allocations, and management fee calculations.

· Support and execute waterfall calculations as per fund agreements (Private Equity).

· Manage hedge fund NAV-related activities, including cash & position reconciliation, P&L calculation, and expense accruals.

· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.

· Coordinate with internal teams, auditors, fund administrators, and clients for smooth delivery and reporting.

· Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with fund governing documents and SLAs.

· Lead and guide team members and support process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in Private Equity and/or Hedge Fund Accounting. - Strong understanding of PE fund structures, LP–GP accounting, and hedge fund operations. - Team handling experience - Hands-on experience with: Capital Call notices, Redemptions, PCAP (Partner's Capital Account), Waterfall Calculations, Hedge fund NAV, reconciliations, and investor reporting - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
