The Role:
This is a senior, high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping the program strategy and portfolio direction across key growth areas. The role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of new and existing programs from opportunity identification and strategic prioritization to scale, optimization, and long-term sustainability. The incumbent will operate as a thought partner to senior leadership, drive cross-functional alignment, and play a critical role in determining where and how the business invests for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio & Growth Strategy (Primary Ownership)
● Own the program portfolio strategy, including identification, prioritization, and sequencing of new program opportunities.
● Lead market opportunity assessment, demand forecasting, learner segmentation, and competitive intelligence to support investment decisions.
● Define multi-year portfolio roadmaps aligned with business growth, revenue, and margin objectives.
● Drive decisions on scale-up, redesign, or sunset of programs based on performance and strategic fit.
Strategic New Product Development
● Provide strategic leadership for new program creation, ensuring strong differentiation, academic rigor, and market relevance.
● Shape program positioning, pricing logic, cohort sizing, and go-to-market hypotheses in partnership with Commercial and Marketing leaders.
● Ensure programs are built with a scalable, repeatable, and profitable model from the outset.
Senior Stakeholder & Partner Leadership
● Act as the primary strategic interface with academic partners & faculty
● Influence and align senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Product, and Finance.
Data, Insights & Governance
● Establish structured frameworks for go/no-go decisions, portfolio reviews, and post-launch performance evaluation.
● Leverage data and insights to guide pricing, investment, and risk trade-offs.
● Ensure governance discipline around program launches, changes, and exits.
Leadership & Capability Building
● Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing program strategy / NPD team.
● Set quality standards for research, strategy, and execution rigor.
● Actively develop future leaders within the team.
Requirements:
● 6–12+ years of experience in strategy, consulting, product, program management, analytics, or business leadership roles.
● Strong foundation in management, analytics, economics, engineering, or related fields.
● MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
● Strong commercial acumen with comfort in ambiguity and complex decision-making environments.
● Balances growth ambition with execution discipline.
● Strong executive presence with the ability to challenge, align, and influence.
● Passionate about building scalable, high-impact learning products.
