What you will be doing:

•Translate business outcomes into measurable FinOps processes, standards, and dashboards; define requirements and success criteria for forecasting, renewal orchestration, vendor catalog stewardship, and optimization.

•Lead discovery and design workshops with budget owners, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Security; document current-state vs. target-state processes and prioritize a phased roadmap.

•Own backlog creation and delivery for reporting, alerts, and workflow automation leveraging no-code/low-code platforms for rapid prototyping and production-grade solutions.

•Define and implement data models and data quality rules for a single source of truth across vendor, contract, usage/telemetry, spend, PO, and forecasting datasets.

•Build renewal orchestration and alerting (e.g., 180/120/90/60 days), true-up and commitment tracking, and PO hygiene reporting, instrument process SLAs and exceptions.

•Support M&A playbooks for vendor assignment, disposition, and integration; ensure early FinOps involvement and consistent ownership models.

•Build a centralized FinOps function to govern the vendor financial lifecycle while preserving decentralized Req/PO agility with budget owners and delivery managers.

•Eliminate fragmented data, inconsistent processes, overspending, renewal risk, and weak forecasting by standardizing processes, systems, and reporting across procurement, finance, and asset ecosystems.

•Deliver stronger cost control, on-time renewals, and reduced management effort through standards, playbooks, centralized visibility, and an optimization pipeline.

What you will need for this position:

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

•Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing and pricing models.

•Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting and an AWS Expert FinOps Module will be preferred..

•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

•Experience with Financial /Vendor management tools and software is a plus (e.g Ariba)

•Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, FinOps Certified Practitioner) will be preferred.

•2-4 years of hands-on FinOps experience in technology/vendor financial lifecycle management (budgeting, forecasting, renewals, true-ups, utilisation optimisation, and reporting).

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of an organisation.

•Proven track record building centralised operating models and standards in partnership with budget owners, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Security.

•Experience with no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Superblocks) to rapidly deliver workflows, data apps, and third-party integrations.

•Advanced analytical skills: proficiency with BI/reporting, SQL, and data modeling to create a single source of truth across contracts, usage/telemetry, and spend data.

•General AWS service knowledge. Specific experience with RDBMS/Postgres, Athena, S3, Glue and Data Lakes.

•Excellent facilitation, process design, and documentation skills; able to translate business needs into clear requirements, epics/stories, and testable acceptance criteria.

•Jira / Scrum experience to organize work, track progress and escalate blockers.

•Preferred: familiarity with procurement/CLM and spend systems (e.g., Coupa, Ironclad) and how they integrate into a FinOps data flow.

•Preferred: experience supporting M&A integration for vendor assignment and disposition with playbook-driven execution.
