Delivery Manager – POS Modernization Program
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Delivery Manager
to lead a large‑scale
Point‑of‑Sale (POS) Modernization Program
for a US‑based client. This role requires a
hands‑on delivery manager
who can operate as an individual contributor when needed, while owning end‑to‑end program delivery across onshore and offshore teams.
The ideal candidate brings
prior hands‑on experience working in the US or
deep expertise in
US client engagement , and a proven track record of managing
onsite - offshore delivery teams (50–60+ resources)
across Project management, Engineering, BA, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX functions in Retail Client facing systems.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Program Leadership
Act as the
primary delivery partner
for the US client, owning delivery commitments, milestones, and outcomes
Lead
day‑to‑day client interactions , daily status updates, steering committees, and executive reviews with a strong focus on transparency and trust
Translate business objectives of the POS modernization program into clear delivery plans and execution roadmaps
Proactively manage client expectations, risks, dependencies, and escalations
End‑to‑End Delivery Ownership
Own
end‑to‑end delivery
across planning, execution, release management, and stabilization phases
Drive delivery excellence across
Agile / Hybrid delivery models
Ensure predictable outcomes across scope, schedule, quality, and cost
Establish and enforce delivery governance, metrics, and reporting cadence
Hands‑On & Self‑Contributor Role
Remain
hands‑on
where required—creating, reviewing plans, estimates, architecture approaches, and critical deliverables
Actively contribute to solution discussions, release planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation
Provide strong technical and delivery judgment rather than operating purely as a coordinator
Offshore Delivery & Team Leadership
Lead and scale
offshore delivery teams of 50–60+ members , including Developers, BAs, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX
Drive strong collaboration between onshore client stakeholders and offshore execution teams
Establish clear ownership, accountability, and performance management across teams
Mentor and coach delivery leads, scrum masters, and technical leads
Cross‑Functional Coordination
Ensure seamless collaboration across Engineering, BA, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX streams
Align architecture, development, testing, and release practices to modernization goals
Drive DevOps maturity, CI/CD adoption, and release automation where applicable
Collaboration & Leadership Behaviors
Builds strong working relationships across Engineering, BA, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX teams
Handles conflicts and disagreements constructively without escalation fatigue
Communicates crisply with executives while remaining approachable for delivery teams
Balances
delivery urgency with team sustainability
in offshore/onshore models
Actively mentors delivery leads, architects, and senior engineers

Required Experience & Qualifications
12+ years
of overall IT / Digital Delivery experience
5+ years
in a Delivery Manager / Program Delivery Lead role for US‑based clients
Deep understanding of
US client expectations , communication styles, and delivery governance
Prior hands‑on working experience with US client
(onsite or long‑term client engagement)
Strong experience delivering
POS, Retail, Payments, Transaction‑heavy systems
(modernization preferred)
Proven experience managing
large offshore delivery teams (50–60+ resources)
Strong experience with
offshore–onshore delivery models
and overlapping time‑zone execution
Solid understanding of Agile delivery, SDLC, release management, and quality assurance practices
