Vice President Quality Assurance

We are hiring a VP–Quality to lead and scale quality engineering for a fast-growing B2B SaaS product company. This role owns end-to-end quality strategy, release governance, automation maturity, and compliance readiness, while acting as a senior spokesperson for quality outcomes with both customers and internal leadership. The role requires direct customer interaction, and in urgent or critical scenarios, the VP–Quality is expected to travel to customer locations to support issue resolution, build trust, and represent engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities • Define and execute the Quality Vision & Roadmap aligned with business and IPO goals Lead, mentor, and scale a 35+ member QA organization across products and platforms • Drive shift-left quality, test automation, CI/CD quality gates, and release confidence Establish quality metrics, dashboards, and defect leakage controls at scale • Own test strategy for web, mobile, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and cloud infra Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness (ISO 27001, GDPR, DPDPA, SOC) • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and Security leadership Improve release velocity without compromising stability • Build a high-performance QA culture with strong hiring, upskilling, and succession plans • Present quality outcomes, metrics, and risks to business and leadership teams on a regular cadence • Engage directly with customers and key stakeholders on quality, stability, and release readiness • Travel to customer locations during high-severity incidents or critical engagements, as needed Act as the single point of accountability for quality in executive and customer-facing forums

What we’re looking for ● 18+ years in Quality Engineering, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Head/Director/VP Quality) ● Proven experience leading large QA teams (25–50+) in B2B SaaS products Strong background in automation-first QA, CI/CD, and modern QA frameworks ● Experience with cloud-native systems (AWS/GCP), microservices, APIs Demonstrated ownership of compliance-driven quality programs ● Track record of reducing defect leakage and improving release predictability

Nice to Have • Experience in EdTech / CRM / high-volume SaaS platforms, audit-driven engineering experience • Exposure to performance, security testing, and reliability engineering (SRE) Leadership • Traits Executive presence and strong stakeholder management Data-driven, outcome focused decision maker • Ability to influence without micromanagement Passion for building scalable quality systems, not just test cases Comfortable operating in high-ownership, ambiguous environments
