Senior Manager - Transmission Design & Development

Purpose of the Role

This position is responsible for;

a) Design Role:

1) Basic 3D & 2D CAD modelling & drawing for transmission aggregate sub assy. & child parts.

2) Basic design integration of transmission systems, transmission integration on vehicle

3) Final release readiness in PLM.

b) Automatic transmission calibration development Role:

1) Base calibration to meet system functional requirement

2) calibration & development trials on vehicle to meet target performance

Job Responsibility:

Contribution to planning

1) Basic 3D & 2D CAD modelling & drawing for transmission aggregate sub assy. & child parts.

2) Basic design integration of transmission systems, transmission integration on vehicle

3) Final release readiness in PLM.

4) Automatic transmission – Base calibration5) Automatic transmission – Vehicle calibration to meet target performance Understand the system requirement & prepare 3D CAD and 2D drawing & layouts. Works closely with Vehicle DMU & integration team to resolve integration issues Works closely with PED team to meet target performance of automatic transmission vehicles.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: BE/B.Tech, ME/MTech (Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics) (ME/MTech will be preferred)

Relevant Experience : Min 3 years of experience in Engine Design Engine and Sub-systems design and application for Automobile Engineering

Knowledge about Engines integration on vehicles Manufacturing process of Engine and Sub-systems

Software used for CAD like ProE-Creo and PLM Familiarity on various government regulations related to powertrain and automobiles National and International standards used in design

Design of Mechanical Systems like Crank Train, Valve train etc including GD & T application and technical drawings

Skills & Competencies:

Fundamentals of core engine design & peripherals

Excellent understanding on GD&T, Tolerancing & drawings

Hands-on CAD software skills (Pro-E, CATIA, CREO)Analytical Skills
