Senior Physical Design Engineer

with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end physical design implementation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in backend VLSI design flow, timing closure, and sign-off activities. Key Responsibilities: Execute complete physical design flow from Netlist to GDSII. Floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, and physical verification. Perform timing closure and optimization (setup/hold, leakage, power). Handle STA, signal integrity, IR drop, and EM analysis. Work on DRC/LVS closure and sign-off. Collaborate with frontend, DFT, and verification teams. Support tape-out activities and resolve backend issues. Required Skills: Strong experience in Physical Design (5–7 years). Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools: Cadence (Innovus) Synopsys (ICC2, PrimeTime) Expertise in: Floorplanning & PnR CTS & Timing Closure STA & Sign-off checks Low-power design techniques Experience with advanced technology nodes (16nm/7nm preferred). Good understanding of SDC constraints and MMMC flows. Scripting knowledge in Tcl/Shell is an added advantage. Preferred Qualifications: B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics / VLSI / Electrical Engineering. Strong debugging and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Notice Period: Immediate joiners or candidates serving notice period (up to 30 days) are highly preferred.
