Job Description (JD) – Exploratory Test Engineer(Mobile Apps) Role Overview:

An Exploratory Test Engineer is responsible for uncovering defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks in software applications through unscripted, creative, and investigative testing approaches. Unlike scripted testing, this role emphasizes adaptability, critical thinking, and real-time learning during the testing process. Key Responsibilities: Conduct exploratory testing to identify functional, usability, and performance issues. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and system behavior. Document findings, defects, and insights in clear, actionable reports. Design and execute test charters based on risk analysis and system exploration. Provide feedback on product quality, user experience, and potential improvements. Use tools and techniques (e.g., session-based testing, bug tracking systems) to enhance efficiency. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies and QA processes. Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in manual testing and familiarity with automation frameworks. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to think creatively and critically under minimal guidance.
